I am currently a doctoral D.Ed. candidate at The Pennsylvania State University studying Adult Education, Lifelong Learning, and Comparative and International Education. I am researching using the arts for peacebuilding and conflict transformation. I have also been learning arts-based methodologies and social justice theatre techniques. My dissertation research is about a testimonial theatre program, Theater of Witness, based in Philadelphia, PA and Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

Music Experience: I have a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies with Minors in Music and International Studies. I have over 50 credits of music courses at the college level. Music has been a part of my life since I was very young. I have studied piano, trumpet, voice, and guitar, and I have participated in numerous ensembles. Recently, I have taken an interest in West African drumming (Djembe), the Irish drum (Bodhran), the folk harp, songwriting, and singing Irish folk songs. TESL Experience: I have a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), with over 10 years of experience in ESL Tutoring and Editing, as well as teaching University level ESL classes on campus. I really enjoy working with international people and helping them achieve their life goals. Please see the "ESL Tutoring" tab for more information.
